Returns, Cancellations & Refunds Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This policy applies to products supplied by StageKraft Pty Ltd (“StageKraft”) to
customers in Australia.
StageKraft primarily supplies professional lighting, staging, AV and event-production
equipment to business and trade customers. Sales are generally made by quotation,
purchase order, invoice or other agreed commercial arrangement.
The terms applicable to a particular sale may also be set out in the relevant quotation,
order confirmation, invoice or other written agreement.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns
StageKraft does not accept returns for change of mind or where goods are no
longer required.
This includes situations where a customer:
• No longer requires the equipment.
• Changes their project or production requirements.
• Orders the wrong product or quantity.
• Determines that the product is unsuitable for their particular application.
• Purchases alternative equipment.
• Has over-ordered equipment.
• Cancels a project or event after the order has been confirmed.
Any return of non-faulty goods is at StageKraft's discretion and must be approved in
writing before the goods are returned.
Where StageKraft approves a return of non-faulty goods, the return must generally be
requested within 7 days of delivery. Goods must be unused, in their original packaging
and in resalable condition.
Where a return is approved, a credit note will be issued instead of a cash refund.
A restocking fee of at least 20% may apply. Freight and other costs incurred in
connection with the return are non-refundable and may be deducted from the credit.
2. Deposits
Deposits paid to confirm an order are non-refundable, subject to any rights or remedies
that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Australian law.
Deposits secure stock allocation, supplier commitments and production scheduling.
Where an order is cancelled, the deposit may be retained, and additional cancellation
or supplier charges may apply.
3. Special-Order and Indent Products
Goods ordered specifically for a customer, including special-order, indent, non-stock,
customised or project-specific products, cannot be cancelled, returned or credited,
except where required by applicable law.
This includes products sourced specifically from overseas suppliers or manufacturers.
4. Order Cancellations
Orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed without StageKraft's prior written approval.
Where StageKraft approves a cancellation, the customer may be responsible for costs
already incurred by StageKraft, including supplier charges, freight, deposits, restocking
charges and other reasonable costs.
Depending on the circumstances, cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the order
value.
Special-order, indent, customised and project-specific products may not be
cancellable once committed to a supplier.
5. Faulty or Defective Goods
If you believe a product is faulty or defective, please contact StageKraft promptly.
We may request information such as:
• Invoice or order details.
• Product model and serial number.
• Description of the fault.
• Photographs or video.
• Details of installation and use.
Products may need to be returned to StageKraft for inspection, testing or assessment.
Where a manufacturer warranty applies, StageKraft may repair, replace or refer the
product to the manufacturer in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.
Where a refund or other remedy is required under applicable Australian law, StageKraft
will provide the appropriate remedy.
6. Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Goods
Customers should inspect goods promptly upon delivery.
Any claim relating to damage, shortage or incorrect supply must be made in writing
within 48 hours of delivery.
Customers should provide photographs of the product, packaging and shipping
documentation where applicable.
Where an incorrect product, missing item or damage is confirmed to be the result of an
issue for which StageKraft is responsible, StageKraft will arrange an appropriate remedy.
7. Return Authorisation
No products should be returned without prior written approval from StageKraft.
Where a return is approved, StageKraft will provide return instructions and, where
applicable, a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Unauthorised returns may be refused or returned to the customer at the customer's
cost.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot
legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable
Australian legislation.
Where the ACL applies to a transaction, eligible customers may have rights relating to
products that fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
Where permitted by law, consumer guarantees may not apply to certain business-to-
business transactions, including some purchases where goods are acquired for the
purpose of resupply.
